Well it’s been quite a while since we’ve posted.  We’ve since left Europe and have traveled all over Thailand and are currently in Siem Reap, Cambodia.  We’re definitely enjoying Southeast Asia, but we still miss our European adventures.  So let’s see, where did we leave off…ah yes, Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland was definitely the highlight of the summer.  It was the first thought that set our world travel plans in motion, and it really set the tone for the first half of our European leg.  But, now it was all over.  It was July 23rd and time to venture on and make our way east.  We could only stay in Europe for 90 days on our tourist visas, so we booked a flight leaving from Athens, Greece over to Bangkok, Thailand departing on August 28th.

After the festival, we said goodbye to Belgium and hopped back on the trusty FlixBus to our next destination…Prague!  The bus ride from Belgium to Czech Republic is a fun 14 hours, so we decided to break it up by traveling 7 hours one day, sleeping in Frankfurt, Germany, and then finishing the remaining 7 hours.

We arrived in Prague and met our Airbnb host at our place.  We stayed in a lively residential area of the city that was very close to lots of bars, a few restaurants, and most importantly, the city tram that would take us anywhere.  Luckily, Uber is also available and very cheap, since the cab drivers are known to be sketchy, especially picking up tourists.

Prague is an incredible city, and we lost no time in wandering about trying all the good food and cheap Pilsener beer.  The city has so much amazing architecture from buildings that have survived generations.  We had the most fun getting lost in the cobblestone streets and alleyways of the Old Town, and we also got quite a work out climbing all the way up to see the Prague Castle, which dates back to the 9th century.  We will definitely be back to this really cool city.

We had so much fun here that we decided to stay an extra few days and found another nice Airbnb on the other side of town, west of the river.

After exploring Prague for about a week, we hopped back on the FlixBus and continued east to our next destination…Krakow, Poland!
