New York City – The next stop on our tour. We said goodbye to the Reyes family in Boston and departed for New York City to meet our friend Tawny, who would accompany us to Reykjavik, Iceland. We landed at Newark and made our way to our Airbnb in the very cool Park Slope area of Brooklyn. Our room in the brownstone, only 6ft by 8ft, gave us enough room to stretch our legs and test the bounds of our relationship living in confined spaces. Hey, we’re ballin’ on a budget and making sacrifices!! We quickly stepped out and saw what Brooklyn had to offer.
We waited for Tawny to get off work before venturing over to Manhattan to pay her a visit and see some sites on the big island: a visit to the Seinfeld diner, a taste of ramen on the Upper East Side, a stroll through the New York City Museum of Sex, and a live improv show.
New York was a blast, but it was time to leave the good ol’ U.S. of A. for a while. Up next, Iceland and the world! So long ‘Murica!
