Amsterdam

At this point, we had begun to count the days until Tomorrowland, one of the biggest festivals in the world that takes place in Boom, Belgium.  The tickets for Tomorrowland were the first items we purchased for our world tour.  It really set the tone of the trip, from planning to execution, so the excitement really began to take hold now that we were so close.

We got back on the FlixBus in Munich and continued to make our way north.  We had one more big stop before Belgium though…

“Ding. Dong.  We are now arriving in Amsterdam:  the city of sex…drugs…and rock ‘n roll.  Please gather your belongings and all of your rubbish because I want neither.  Now….Let’s. Get. Stoned.” exclaimed our bus driver over the loudspeaker as we pulled up to the station at Sloterdijk.  We had arrived.  Amsterdam.

The winding canals, the coffeeshops, the infamous red light district, the pomme frites, the food, the super friendly and laid back people…this place definitely tops our list of favorites!  We had an amazing time in this city.  We started the trip with a rooftop swing at A’DAM Lookout and then quickly got lost in the labyrinth of alleys and canals that cover the city.

We took strolls in the evening to take in the city’s vibrant night life.  It’s a non-stop party until the sun comes up.  Please note:  we posted the PG-13 pictures here out of respect for our families!

For our last day, we explored a nice open-air day market and then stopped by the iconic I Amsterdam sign.

Thank you for an amazing time Amsterdam!

We hopped back on the trusty FlixBus and made our way south to Belgium.  Up next….TOMORROWLAND!
